This 24-class middle school is located in the east suburb. The three-story 157 meter long rectangular structure has a rectangular central courtyard which locates on top of the first floor. The intent of the courtyard space brings up the experience of the underground cave dwelling at the northwest region of China.
This 3200 square meter three-story kindergarten is also located in the east suburb. It is composed with a few pure geological elements. For example, the rectangular central courtyard is an outdoor playground and also an amphitheater. The circular outdoor music courtyard space makes a contract and a reversion with the circular music classroom underneath.
Located on the Fushi Road in the west suburb of Beijing, the building is a blocking unit of H40m x W40m x L60m, a grand hall of H38m x W20m x L20m is placed within. To emphasize the concept of 'Chisel', there are total of 23 round skylights plus 23 circular windows on the west side wall. These punched holes introduce the Chinese classical concept 'chisel out the door and the window to make a room'.
